Made in Texas The Larson Electronics EP-MPD-480.3P-15KVA-2X480.60-6X120.20 hazardous location power distribution system is designed for operators to power their three-phase 480V and 120V equipment within Class I, Division 2 rated areas. Equipped with 20` 6/4 SOOW cord terminated in a 60-amp explosion proof plug allow operators to bring 480V 3-phase line-in voltage to the unit. Two 480V receptacles and six 120V receptacles are provided for connecting secondary equipment to this unit. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS OR SUBSTATIONS* The portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 480 volt and 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480 volt line-in power via 20` of 6/4 SOOW cord with a 60-amp APJ plug. Operators connect 480V equipment to two 60-amp, 480V FSQC5640 receptacles. On the secondary side, operators connect to six 20-amp, 120V explosion proof receptacles for their 120V equipment. For increased reliability during operation, line-in power as well as connections between the disconnect and transformer and between the transformer and secondary panel consist of heavy-duty SOOW cords. Operation: A 20` SOOW line-in cord with a 60-amp explosion proof plug brings 480V three phase power to the 125-amp rated 480V three phase main panel, which contains two 60-amp breakers protecting two 60-amp, 480V FSQC5640 receptacles. Liquid-tite flexible cord connect the primary panel to the transformer. The Class I, Division 2 15 KVA transformer converts 480V three phase power to 208Y/120V three phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. Liquid-tite flexible cord connect the transformer to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a 41.6-amp rated 208Y/120V three phase main lug panel. This secondary panel contains six 20-amp, 120V breakers protecting six 20-amp, 120V explosion proof receptacles. The receptacles are mounted to an aluminum back plate for easy connection for equipment in the field. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly are mounted on a non-sparking aluminum mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" square non-sparking aluminum tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, non-sparking locking casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel or hot dip galvanized steel depending on the customer’s needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
