Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MDP-4803-75K-250AB-12X20-2X208Y heavy duty power transformer substation converts 480VAC electrical current to 208Y/120VAC three phase. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 120VAC and 208VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This model is designed to support both linear (motor) and non-linear loads (lighting, computers, etc.). This unit provides an effective power source for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. Operation: 20` of #4/4 Type W cable terminated in a 4100P7W plug brings 480V three phase power to the 100-amp 480V 3-phase fused disconnect, which contains three 100-amp time delay fuses protecting the 75KVA transformer. The NEMA 3R transformer converts 480V to 208Y/120V three phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 225-amp main lug panel. This secondary panel contains twelve 125V 20-amp 1-pole breakers protecting twelve 20-amp 125V 520R-GFCI duplex receptacles and two 250V 30-amp 3-pole breakers protecting two 30-amp 208Y120V L21-30R twist lock receptacles. Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking polyurethane casters, and a top located lifting eyelet allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs for an additional cost. Larger units are available upon request, and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground. ~Please check all motor loads for dual rated motors that will work 208 or 240.~ Applications: This power distribution system is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
