Made in the USA The Larson Electronics MDC-480.1P-25C-5KVA-240.20-3C Mobile Power Transformer System steps down 480V AC current to 240V AC single phase. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into commonly found 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable spiderbox is suitable for outdoor applications. The MDC-480.1P-25C-5KVA-240.20-3C also features a kick stand located on the back of the dolly cart for added stability and to prevent the system from being at risk of being knocked over or falling down. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* The MDC-480.1P-25C-5KVA-240.20-3C temporary power distribution system provides a safe and reliable way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in work areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480V AC which it then steps down to 240V AC. Operation: Twenty-five feet of #14 SOOW line-in power cord brings 480V AC three phase power into the 480V 30-amp three phase disconnect, which is fused at 15 amps, and passes power to the transformer. The 5 KVA transformer converts 480V to 240V single phase. Three feet of #14 SOOW cord is available on the output side of the transformer. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard upright steel dolly cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. For even more stability, the MDC-480.1P-25C-5KVA-240.20-3C features a rear-mounted kick stand that can easily be deployed when the unit is in the desired position. This kick stand increases the stability of this unit so that the risk of it being knocked over or falling down are almost completely eliminated. Two run-flat tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150kva and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, hazardous location operations, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations.
