Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LM-40-4S-3FT.H fold over 4-stage light mast provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras and other equipment to elevations of up to forty-three feet. This light tower folds over for easy transportation, features a rotating boom that allows for 360¡ of rotation, and a removable H-mount mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. This light boom can be extended to 40 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 16 feet for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 11.25` in length and 5" x 5" by 3/16" thick, lower section 11.25` in length and 4" x 4" by 1/8" thick, an upper section 11.25` in length and 3" x 3" by 1/8" thick, and a top section 11.75` in length and 2" x 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 15-18" overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 2,500 lbs hand winch with 3/16 inch cable and extended to its full height using a second 2,500 lbs winch. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15" by 13" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 1/2" anchor bolts. The LM-40-4S-3FT.H features a removable 44" wide H-mount mast head for the convenient mounting of desired equipment. This mast head design features two mounting platforms to allow operators to mount a wide variety of equipment. The top mounting platform is three feet above the lower mounting platform. The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provides increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 14 feet, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely and can typically be rotated with a single hand. This light tower weighs approximately 1,100 lbs and can easily support and lift 150 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5 feet long, 4 feet wide, 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 1500 lbs.
