Made in the USAThe HAL-TRN-400-347V from Larson Electronics is a Metal Halide Hazardous Area Light that produces exceptional illumination from a 400 watt metal halide lamp. Constructed of die cast aluminum and U.L. listed for wet areas, this metal halide fixture is a versatile and ideal hazardous area lighting solution for areas where wet or damp environments may be encountered.The durable HAL-TRN-400-347V metal halide light fixture is suitable for use in wet outdoor environments, making it an ideal lighting solution for industrial applications, boat docks, building exteriors and outdoor work areas. The lamp housing is weather resistant and constructed of pressure cast copper free aluminum with an architectural bronze Polyester finish. The lens door is pressure-cast copper-free aluminum, and secured with 1/4" diameter captive stainless steel slotted hex-head bolts. This unit features an integral multi- tap ballast with a choice of of 120V, 208V, 240V, or 277V connections. Also available is an optional and separate 480V configuration which requires a different ballast. Choose voltage options when ordering.The optical assembly includes thermal shock and impact resistant door glass with a pressure-cast copper-free aluminum door frame and heavy duty, high temperature silicone rubber seal. The lamp socket is a specification grade mogul base porcelain unit with heavy gauge brass, a nickel-plated, double lamp-grip screw shell and spring-loaded center contact. The reflectors are a double segment compound parabolic design with Alzak¨ finish for maximum efficiency.Mounting: Mounting choices include a yoke mount or poletop mount. The yoke mount is constructed from zinc plated steel with an architectural bronze polyester finish. The poletop mount has a built-in slip-fitter for internal wiring, is adjustable laterally and verticall, fits on 2" or 2.5" diameter pipe and has an architectural bronze finish.This hazardous area light is rated U.L. standard 844 and 1598 compliant, approved Class I Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D, and functionable in an environment of up to 180¡C. This lamp is suitable for use in areas were flammable gases and vapors are present occasionally.Voltage: The HAL-TRN-400-347V is available in several voltage configurations including 347V-60Hz, 230V-60Hz or 240V-60Hz. Please make your selection below when ordering.This 400 watt metal halide light is highly durable, produces approximately 45,000 lumens in a wide flood pattern, and can operate in ambient temperatures to 180 degrees C and will not produce temperatures greater than 325 degrees C. All hardware on this unit is resistant to rain, snow, salt water and corrosive chemicals. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it to nameplate. Three-conductor No. 14 cable (with 90¡ C minimum insulation) is recommended for making electrical connections. Wiring is accomplished through the wiring box provided on the fixture. The box is provided with a size 3/4-in. NPT threaded conduit opening. Wiring methods must comply with NFPA 70 (The National Electrical Code), Article 501 for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous (Classified) Locations. To get inside the unit, open the door, loosen the (2) screws holding the reflector and remove the reflector. Verify the correct supply voltage and lamp wattage.
