This Class I, Division 2 power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into commonly found 415V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable spiderbox is suitable for outdoor applications. This explosion proof unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in work areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This explosion proof portable transformer is designed to operate with 415V AC which it then steps down to 120V AC. Operation: Ten feet of #16 SOOW line-in power cord with a 63-amp 480V-rated C1D2 explosion proof cord cap brings 415V AC single phase power into the NEMA 4X panel and C1D2/C1Z2 transformer. The 2 KVA explosion proof transformer converts 415V to 120V single phase. Operators can access one C1D2/C2D1 16-amp, 600V-rated explosion proof receptacle (HLO-16A-2P3W) mounted on the cart. The pin and sleeve outlet is protected by a 16-amp din-rail mounted breaker inside the NEMA 4X panel. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard upright steel dolly cart style frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. For even more stability, the HL-MDC-10C-415V-8AB-2KVA-120V.16A features a rear-mounted kick stand that can easily be deployed when the unit is in the desired position. This kick stand increases the stability of this unit so that the risk of it being knocked over or falling down are almost completely eliminated. Two run-flat tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150kva and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.
