For Heavy Duty, Over Head Crane Lighting. Industrial plants are usually lit with high bay reflectors at truss height above cranes. When cranes are in use, the illumination from overhead luminaires is blocked by the crane bridge and hoist motor assembly. To compensate for this loss of light under the crane, provisions are made for installation of luminaires under the catwalk or alongside the crane box structure. ~13;~10; ~13;~10;Basic requirements for mechanical and electrical assembly are fixture parts constructed ruggedly to withstand rough service and vibration inherent in crane operation. In addition, luminaires must be designed to produce the highest initial and maintained outputs, as well as deep shielding of lamps to prevent glare when crane operators and floor workers are handling products. Safe operation is enhanced by the Cranelite~8217;s evenly distributed illumination. ~13;~10; ~13;~10;Cranelite~174; luminaires are available for all indoor and outdoor applications in incandescent or HID lamp operation regardless of span or lift of cranes.
