This fuel hose is specially developed and marked for fueling boats and ship engines. The main fuel line allows the fuel pump to draw power from the tank. Energy is pulled through this line into the pump and the weighing area of the carburetor or injection system.
Fuel lines usually consist of double-walled steel pipes. For fire protection reasons, the fuel line must withstand the constant strong vibrations of the engine and the road surface. The cable is the route away from the exhaust pipes, mufflers, and elbows so that excessive heat does not block the steam. Since it is attached to the frame or engine, the effect of vibration is minimized.
If there is a lot of movement between parts, use synthetic rubber fuel hoses. Flexible hoses can absorb movement without damage. A hose clamp is required to attach the fuel hose to the fuel line or hardware.
Fuel line and hose failures are common causes of fuel leaks. Fuel hoses can become stiff and brittle when exposed to engine heat and elements. Engine oils can soften and swell them. Metal fuel lines rarely cause problems. However, if it shatters, kinks, rusts, or leaks, it will need to be replaced.
