This cutter centers around the filter quickly, with no parts to change, and it operates in either direction. It works on the same principal as a tube cutter to remove the complete mounting plate section exposing the filter element for easy inspection. Actually less messy than cutting open a replacement element type filter. Cuts all Champion 3.7 Inch diameter filters including the new Champion RBC308 filter used on the Rotax 912 and 914 engines.
