Made in the USA The HAL-EMG-EXT-12W-3L Hazardous Area Location Emergency Light Bug Eyes with Exit Sign and Emergency Battery Backup from Larson Electronics is rated Class 1 Division II and is an ideal emergency lighting solution for hazardous locations where failsafe lighting reliability is a must. This three lamp failsafe light fixture features two LED lamps and one exit sign to illumiate doorways and exits. An internal battery backup system will illuminate the fixture for 90+ minutes during power outages. The HAL-EMG-EXT-12W-3L is an ideal solution for operators who wish to ensure their hazardous workspaces employ the most effective and reliable safety lighting options available. In the case of power outages or in any situation where power is interrupted, this unit automatically switches to a battery backup which will power the unit for 90+ minutes or until power is restored. Once power is restored, a built in charger will return the unit to a fully charged state within acceptable UL time limits. The lamp housing is waterproof, constructed of corrosion and chemical resistant GE Lexan polycarbonate with Pyrex globe, USCG accepted, and NEMA 4X compliant and suitable for hose-down areas. This LED lamp has a 50,000 hour operational life. The exit sign panel is edge illuminated by LEDs and as a result draws only 3 watts of power and has an extreme LED luminary lifespan rated at 25 years. This fixture is approved for outdoor use and is resistant to saltwater making it suitable for use in marine environments. This hazardous area location emergency lighting fixture carries an integral maintenance-free, sealed, high temperature Nickel-Cadmium battery backup power supply. When external power is cut due to outages or accidents this lamp automatically switches to its battery backup which will power the LED bulbs for 90+ minutes. The battery is protected from deep discharge by solid state circuitry which senses low voltage and turns off the unit before battery damage can occur.
