Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MPD-480-45KVA-1X208.120.30A-10X120.15A-CMLK.50A power distribution substation converts 480V AC three phase electrical current to three phase 208Y/120V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. All circuit breakers inside the panel are bolt-in style breakers. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION PANELS, TRANSFORMERS, OR SUBSTATIONS* Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use The MPD-480-45KVA-1X208.120.30A-10X120.15A-CMLK.50A portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 240 volt and 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480 volt line-in power via 25` of #6 SOOW cord with a NPJ6484 cord cap. On the secondary side, operators connect to one set of E1015 female cam-lock connectors (black, red, blue, white and green) for 240V equipment, to one NR342 receptacle for 240V equipment and to ten 5-15R duplex receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers. Operation: A 25` #6 SOOW cord with a 60-amp 480V NPJ6484 cord cap brings 480V three phase power to the NEMA 3R 60-amp, 480V three phase fused primary disconnect, which contains three 60-amp time delay fuses, and passes the current to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 45 KVA transformer converts 480V three phase power to 208Y/120V three phase and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 125-amp, 208Y/120V three phase main circuit breaker panel. This secondary panel contains one 50-amp 3-pole 250V bolt-in breaker protecting one set of 150-amp 600V rated E1015 female cam-lock connectors (black, red, blue, white and green). Operators connect customer provided cables to the panel mounted cam-locks to energize equipment and systems requiring 240V three phase power. The secondary main circuit breaker panel is also equipped with one 30-amp 3-pole 250V bolt-in breaker protecting one 30-amp 250V NR342 receptacle and ten 15-amp 1-pole 125V bolt-in breakers protecting ten 15-amp 125V 5-15R duplex receptacles. The transformer and load assembly is mounted on a 3/16" thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" x 1/8" square carbon steel tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, locking casters, and a top located lifting eyelet which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
