The Larson Electronics MGL-480.3P-30AFT-25KVA-6X1P.20A-5X1P.25A-1X2P.30A temporary power distribution system converts single-phaseÊ480V AC electrical current into single-phaseÊ120/240V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.

Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use: The MGL-480.3P-30AFT-25KVA-6X1P.20A-5X1P.25A-1X2P.30A portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 480 volt, 240 volt and 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480VÊusing a 20` #4 SOOW cord and to one, L16-30R for 480V equipment. On the secondary side, operators are provided access to one, L6-30R receptacle for 240V equipment, as well as five, L5-30R and six, 5-20R GFCI duplex receptacles for 120V equipment. All receptacles are equipped with weatherproof covers.

Operation: A 20` #4 SOOW cord brings 480V power to the first NEMA 3R 30-amp, three-phase 480V primary disconnect, which contains three 30-amp time delay fuses protecting one, 30-amp 480V L16-30R receptacle, and passes single-phase 480V power through to the second primary disconnect. The second NEMA 3R 60-amp, three-phase 480V primary disconnect contains two 60-amp time delay fuses and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 25 KVA transformer converts 480V to single-phase 120/240V 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary side. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 100-amp, single-phase 120/240V main circuit breaker panel. This secondary panel is equipped with one, 30-amp 2-pole 250V breaker protecting one, 30-amp 250V L6-30R receptacle, five, 25-amp 1-pole 125V breakers protecting five, 30-amp 125V L5-30R receptacles and six, 20-amp 1-pole 125V breakers protecting six, 20-amp 125V 5-20R GFCI duplex receptacles.

Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel, dolly cart style, frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. A dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.

This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150 KVA, and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.

Certification: All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code). All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.

Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.

Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
