Made in the USA This Larson Electronics MGS-480-2XL6-30-25K-10X120GFI power distribution system enables operators to use one 60A pin and sleeve receptacle on the 480V primary side and ten 120 volt 5-20 GFCI weatherproof outlets on the secondary side. This portable power transformer provides a safe and reliable way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit provides an effective power source for operators performing plant turn-arounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. Click Photo to Enlarge Click Photo to Enlarge This portable panel distribution system is designed to operate with 480 VAC which it then steps down to 120 and 240 VAC single phase. On the 480V primary side, a 125-amp main breaker, Nema 3R panel contains a 60-amp breaker, which protects one 460R7W receptacle with a weatherproof cover. The 480V primary panel also includes a 60-amp breaker to protect the 25KVA transformer. The 25KVA transformer steps down 480v to 120/240 single phase and feeds a 100-amp main breaker Nema 3R panel. The secondary load center include ten 20-amp, single pole breakers protecting ten 5-20 GFI outlets with weatherproof covers. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged, powder coated, carbon steel frame with integrated skid pockets, a top located lifting eyelet, and 8" locking casters to allow easy transport. The standard frame is constructed of 2" x 1/8" thick square tubing and powder coated for corrosion resistance. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel, hot dip galvanized steel, or aluminum depending on the customer’s needs. This power distribution system is weatherproof and ideal for outdoor use and applications including but not limited to, plant maintenance, welding stations, shows, exhibits and marine applications. Larson Electronics is a manufacturer and as such can build portable transformer systems to your specifications.
