The Larson Electronics MPD-MD5-MS5B-DF15YT-EL-10.L04-M1 temporary power distribution system converts three-phase 460V AC electrical current into three-phase 208Y/120V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 460V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.

The MPD-MD5-MS5B-DF15YT-EL-10.L04-M1 temporary power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 120 volt equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 460 volt line-in power via 30` of #10/4 SOOW cord with a milspec male plug. On the secondary side, operators connect to ten L5-20R twist lock receptacles for 120V equipment.

Operation: A 30` #10/4 SOOW line-in cord with a 40-amp milspec M2726/3 3-pole, 4-wire male plug brings three-phase 460V AC power to the primary side, which contains a 30-amp 3-pole 460V breaker, and passes power to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 15 KVA transformer converts 460V AC Delta to three-phase 208Y/120V 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the transformer feeds a NEMA 3R 100-amp three-phase 208Y/120V main circuit breaker panel. This secondary panel contains five 15-amp 2-pole 125V, L+N protected breakers protecting five 20-amp L5-20R 125V receptacles and five 10-amp 2-pole 125V, L+N protected breakers protecting five 20-amp L5-20R 125V receptacles. The main circuit breaker panel caters to future expansion/spares via additional space for customer-provided din rail mount breakers (not included).

Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel, dolly cart style, frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.

This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150KVA, and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.

Certification: All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.

Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.
