CALIVE LED Grow Light UV+IR Supplemental Kit

Grow light UV+IR supplemental kit is a flexible supplemental lighting solution for new growth facilities or HID lighting retrofits. Additionally, CALIVE grow light UV+IR supplemental kit offer a dimmable plug & play design that provides infinite possibilities to set up an ideal growth environment to create the art of harvest. In Cannabis/Hemp plants, exposure to UVA light increases the production of THC and CBD. When growing cannabis plants, the plants exposed to UV had increased THC concentrations compared to those not exposed to UV lights.CALIVEÕs new UV+IR supplemental kit has its own dedicated driver allowing separate dimmability for the UV+IR kit. This allows growers to adjust UV+IR output to protect plants and optimize yields. The kits boost plant growth and health during both vegetative and flowering phases.

We know that blue and red light is optimal for plant growth; it is a fundamental spectrum of indoor growth lighting. Research conducted in 1957 has shown that combining blue and red light with far-red/infrared light (700Ð760nm) led to an increased rate of photosynthesis due to the Emerson effect. The protein Phytochrome is the only known receptor that is sensitive to far-red/infrared wavelengths. Plants use Phytochrome to regulate a plantÕs switch from vegetation to flowering state and the flowering time, based on length of daylight or exposure to artificial light. Today, a vast portion of Pro-Growers keep growing their plants under traditional 1000W HPS lighting environments that produce excess heat through IR radiation. They have to install and operate expensive HVAC systems to mitigate the heat. á Ultraviolet A (UVA)  is from 320Ð400nm and comprises about 3% of the photons in natural sunlight that make it through EarthÕs atmosphere. UVA lights for plants do not damage DNA. Furthermore, it is also the main factor that contributes to our toned skin.
á Ultraviolet B (UVB) is from 290Ð320nm and makes up less than 0.15%Ñless than 1/5th of 1%Ñof total natural sunlight. UVB rays specifically damage proteins and nucleic acids in the cells harming processes of cell reproduction and metabolism.
á Ultraviolet C (UVC) is from 100Ð290nm and is almost completely filtered out by EarthÕs atmosphere. UVC light is energetic enough that it is used for sterilization purposesÑit kills living cells and virus in medical practice.
