This cable connection is utilized on boats where a splash well box or the lack of an engine tilt tube prevents traditional tilt tube or transom support installation techniques. The mounting surface usually is perpendicular to the transom and 12" to 16" away from the midline of the boat and tiller (25-33" total splash well width). When the steering cable is connected to the side of the splash well, this mounting kit is utilized to support itmade of corrosion-resistant marine-grade materials.
