  • In accordance with NEC Article 517.18(C) which requires tamper-resistant receptacles (or covers) in pediatric patient care locations, these receptacles are also suitable for use in pediatric, health care, daycare, psychiatric and other facilities used by children where limiting access to energized contacts is required. These devices are also suitable for any residential or commercial setting, such as children's rooms, where tamper-resistant receptacles are desired.
  • Built-In shutter barrier designed to limit improper insertion of small objects into receptacle contact slots. Allows easy insertion of properly rated plugs.
  • Constructed with impact-resistant thermoplastic cover and body to withstand abusive use in residential/commercial applications
  • Double-wipe power contacts for maximum conductivity and plug retention
  • Triple-combination screws for ease of use with slotted, Phillips, or Robertson-head screwdrivers
  • Side-wire termination accepts No. 14 to No. 10 AWG copper or copper-clad conductors
  • Green grounding screw and self-grounding clip for automatic grounding in grounded metal wallboxes
  • Shallow design for maximium wiring room in box
  • Convenient washer-type break-off plater ears for best flush alignment
