This system features an LED lamp, industrial siren, remote on/off push button switches and rechargeable battery pack. As a non-permanent solution that requires no modifications to forklifts during use and installation, operators are provided access to a 10` 16/3 SOOW cord with an explosion proof cord cap. The EXP-RSP-FKWL-WLS-V1-24V operates on 24 V DC.

The EXP-RSP-FKWL-WLS-V1-24V is a complete warning system for forklifts and pedestrian safety within hazardous locations. This rechargeable system features a powerful LED lamp and industrial siren, which are secured on a backplate with a sturdy clamp for mounting on explosion proof forklifts (top rack). A remote switch, which contains two push buttons, is provided for independent activation and deactivation of the LED light and industrial siren. The rechargeable system is powered by a battery that can be charged using 24 V DC outlets. This non-permanent solution does not require modifications, ensuring certification is not voided during use or installation.

Featuring a bright flashing pattern with 360-degrees of visibility, color options for the hazardous location LED lamp includes amber, red, green, blue or white. This hazardous location LED lamp consists of a glass-filled thermoset polyester body that is non-metallic and corrosion resistant. A lamp guard protects the light head on the NEMA 4X rated fixture from rough contact. Designed for indoor and outdoor locations, the LED light does not contain exposed glass, making it suitable for food processing and manufacturing sites.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. Solid state LED lighting is also safer for the environment as LEDs are 100% recyclable. And recycling simultaneously reduces operating costs by eliminating the need for the expensive special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

Industrial Siren: The industrial siren provides audio-based notifications and includes 8 different tones which can reach peak output of 110 dBA and can be remotely operated for priority alerts. The housing on this horn is constructed of heavy duty aluminum and the horn is formed fiberglass. The entire unit is finished in durable grey powder coat for resistance to corrosion, is weatherproof/dustproof, and NEMA 4X/marine rated for wet environments.

Wiring & Plug: This forklift warning system is equipped with 1 foot of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an explosion proof cord cap for easy connection to explosion proof outlets during charging. Plug options include a 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for use with 24 V DC explosion proof outlets, a 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 24 V DC explosion proof outlets, or a 6-20 20 amp straight blade plug for use with 24 V DC explosion proof outlets.

A 10-foot 16/3 SOOW cord is available for connection between the remote switch and system.

Mount: Mounting for the LED lamp and industrial siren is provided by a heavy gauge aluminum base with predrilled holes designed to be bolted to walls and flat surfaces for permanent and secure attachment. A custom designed clamping bracket allows for easy attachment of the unit to the top rack of explosion proof forklifts. The componentÕs ability to resist bending ensures stable performance in rough environments. After securing the preferred position on the rack, the operator can then tighten the beam using the two adjustable handles. It is important to tighten both handles evenly and securely to prevent shaking or uneven positioning. Mounting for the remote switch is facilitated by a bracket hangar mount.

Suggested Applications: Delivery Bays, Warehouses, Manufacturing, Pedestrian Safety, Compliance, Forklift Operations, Industrial Warning Systems, or Locations Where Combustible Dust is Present.
