This 10 watt explosion proof hand lamp from Larson Electronics produces 1050 lumens of bright white light. The EHL-220X24V-70MX30M drop light has no ballast and the housing is constructed of non-sparking aluminum with a rubber bumper guard designed to provide an effective lighting solution for operators requiring a versatile source of illumination. This hazardous location LED hand lamp is Class 1, Division 1 approved and is ideal for hazardous work areas where a ready source of easily managed lighting is desired. This LED drop light runs at operating temperatures of 55¡ F, greatly reducing the chances of accidents or burns commonly associated with incandescent drop lights. This lamp has no ballast, which reduces lamp weight, a steel globe guard, and a stainless steel hook for easy overhead mounting. The solid state LED bulb has no filament, making it resistant to damage from impacts and dropping. This hand lamp has a high efficiency LED bulb that requires no ballast, so the operator doesn`t need to drag the ballast housing around. This can be particularly annoying when the ballast becomes entangled in the cord. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light.
