The Larson Electronics EPL-MB-70LED-50-B Low Profile Magnetic Mount LED light fixture provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location tank cleaning light. LED technology and compact magnetic mount design makes this lamp an excellent replacement upgrade option for bulky and high maintenance cost older fixtures. This unit is Class 1, Division 1, Group B rated for use in environments that always contain Hydrogen. This Class I Division 1 & 2, Class II Division 1 & 2 magnetic mount explosion proof light fixture provides 6,000 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 70 watts. It is available in 360¡ and 180¡ beam spreads. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. A special heat dissipating design in conjunction with advanced LED driver technology helps this fixture achieve an excellent 100,000 hour rated lifespan with 70% lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and requires less hardware to install. LED Drivers: Even in LED fixtures, heat is the single largest factor in premature light failure and color shifting. As a result, many manufacturers reduce the output of their LEDs in order to reduce the amount of heat produced. Rather than lower light output or quality, Larson Electronics addresses this problem with the addition of an electronic LED driver. This internal driver provides the ability to automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct LED voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. This not only reduces the energy dissipation, effectively lowering the operating temperature of the fixture, but also prevents AC over-voltage and short circuit loading making this fixture virtually maintenance free. Because the electronic driver allows the EPL-BS-25WRE-100 to run at a cooler internal temperature and regulates the electrical current, energy efficiency and LED service hours are maximized while at the same time reducing operating costs and downtime incurred from the frequent servicing intervals required with other hotter running lights. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat, which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED emitters. This high output LED lamp produces 6,000 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K and a color rendering index of 70, which means this lamp render colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor luminaries. The magnetic mounting bracket for this unit includes three 200 lbs grip magnetic bases which provide a total of 600 lbs of grip and allows operators to mount the unit to walls and flat metallic surfaces. Users simply attach the magnetic mounting bracket to the desired surface, then adjust the lamp assembly from the bracket. This bracket is constructed of non-sparking aluminum for light weight and durability, and the simple swing hinge design allows operators to easily adjust the lamp assembly to position the unit as a pedestal lamp if desired. Note On Beam Spread: The 360¡ beam spread is the standard directional output and typical for flood lights. The 180¡ shines in only one direction.
