Made in Texas The Larson Electronics EP-MPD-600V-7.5KVA-2X120A-.5KVA-1X120A hazardous location power distribution system is designed for operators to power their single phase 120V equipment within Class I, Divisions 1 & 2/Class I, Zones 1 & 2 rated areas. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into single phase 600V AC and distribute 120V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO POWER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS OR SUBSTATIONS* The portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their 120 volt equipment from a single system in flammable work sites. On the primary side, operators connect 600 volt line-in power via 20` of 12/3 SOOW cord. On the secondary side, operators connect to five 120V explosion proof receptacles for 120V equipment. For increased reliability during operation, line-in power as well as connections between the disconnect and transformer and between the transformer and secondary panel consist of heavy-duty SOOW cords. Operation: Twenty-feet of 12/3 SOOW line-in cord brings 600V single-phase power to the 15-amp, 600V explosion proof disconnect and passes the current to the explosion proof transformer. Liquid-tite flexible cord connect the primary panel to the transformer. Two Class I, Division 2 explosion proof transformers, rated at 7.5 KVA and 0.5 KVA, converts 600V single-phase power to 120V single phase and passes the current to the secondary explosion proof panel. Liquid-tite flexible cord connect the transformer to the secondary panel. The secondary side of the 7.5 KVA explosion proof transformer feeds a 60-amp, 120V explosion proof main lug only panel, which contains four 20-amp, 120V explosion proof receptacles. The secondary side of the 0.5 KVA explosion proof transformer feeds a 5-amp, 120V explosion proof disconnect switch, which feeds power to one 20-amp, 120V explosion proof receptacle. Protective Construction: Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed for serious use and is ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer and load assembly are mounted on a non-sparking aluminum mounting platform and the load center/distribution assembly is mounted to the standard 2" x 2" square non-sparking aluminum tubing frame, resulting in an extremely stable, durable and well protected power distribution platform. This model is equipped with forklift skid pockets, non-sparking locking casters, and four top located lifting eyelets at every corner which allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This can be replaced for an additional cost with stainless steel or hot dip galvanized steel depending on the customer’s needs. Larger units are available upon request and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Certification: Larson Electronics is a UL 1640 panel shop and certified to build portable power distribution systems. All units are built in accordance to NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and certified to UL 1640. All equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor use and provide a degree of protection against dirt, water, and ice. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X equipment can be equipped upon request.
