The Larson Electronics HAL-6-IPS-LED-1227 is a low profile hazardous location lighting solution approved for Class I Division 2 environments and NRTL Certified to UL 1598 compliant for use in wet locations. This powerful 6" long LED strip light produces 750 lumens, operates on 120/240V AC, and is suitable for a variety of applications. The HAL-6-IPS-LED-1227 is designed to provide a ruggedly durable lighting solution for applications where Class I Division 2 compliance is required. This low profile hazardous location LED strip light can be operated on 120/240V AC electrical current and includes 20 feet of connecting lead with flying leads. This light is constructed of powder coated extruded aluminum for excellent strength and durability and is rated IP65 for protection against exposure to low pressure water jets from all directions and sealed against dust penetration. These units are configured in a 6" long strip or "bar" profile for installation in locations where wide dispersal and a low profile is preferred. Once installed, operators can rotate the light fixture side to side to position the light output as needed. The high output, cool running operation, and good color rendering properties of this light make it an ideal replacement for older, bulkier, and less reliable HID and halogen light fixtures. Durability/Mounting: The HAL-6-IPS-LED-1227 hazardous area LED light is constructed of extruded aluminum with a tough powder coat finish for high strength and durability. The housing is IP65 rated, providing ingress protection against dusts, and protection against low pressure jets of water from all directions, such as wash-down areas. This design is weatherproof, suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, and ideal for areas where wet, damp, or dusty conditions are commonly encountered. The LEDs in this linear light are Cree LEDs that have been chosen for their high lumen per watt ratio and extreme long life. These Cree LEDs provide over 125 lumens per watt output and have a 70% lumen retention at 50,000 hours, giving them better efficiency and operational life than comparable LEDs. This LED light produces 750 lumens with a color temperature of 5000K and a color rendering index of 75 which produces colors and details much more accurately than incandescent, halogen, or fluorescent light fixtures. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting. Mounting: Mounting for this unit is provided by two standard adjustable end brackets that allow operators to mount the light to flat surfaces and then adjust the light 170¡ vertically for the best placement. The entire assembly weighs 2.1 lbs and measures 6 inches in length, 2.68 inches wide and 1.69 inches deep, making it ideal for mounting in areas where space is limited and a low profile fixture is more readily installed.
