Made in the USA The HAL-TL-3X10W-RAG-2XPA-DR1 from Larson Electronics is a Color LED Stack Light that is approved for use in Class I Division 2 hazardous environments where explosive and flammable gases, vapors, and dusts stand a potential to exist, as well as wet locations and marine environments. This hazardous location unit features four distinct operational modes and flying leads for connection to alarm and fault leads. The luminary is designed for routing traffic in industrial refueling stations and processing status indications in manufacturing facilities. The HAL-TL-3X10W-RAG-2XPA-DR1 emits red, amber and green light in four set configurations. This LED unit is rated for Class I Division 2 and Class II Division 2 work environments, T3 temperature rated, weatherproof/dust-proof, and NEMA 4X and marine rated for wet environments. The indicator light operates on 120/240 volts AC or 24 volts DC for standard or low voltage operation. An explosion proof junction box protects the internal wiring components of the light. This unit features the following modes: •Mode 1: Green light (constant, steady burn) illuminated for power to system (normal conditions, standard operation) •Mode 2: Green light (constant, steady burn) + yellow light (strobe light) + tone 1 for alarm 1 •Mode 3: Green light (constant, steady burn) + red light (strobe light) + tone 2 for alarm 2 •Mode 4: Green light shuts off + red light (strobe light) + tone 3 for fault detected The horn function is only activated in Mode 2, Mode 3 and Mode 4. This stack light is equipped with two explosion proof horns. Attached to the bottom of the fixture, these audible horns can reach a peak output level of 110dBA, which is powerful enough to be heard over industrial operations. There are no dimming or volume controls for the lights or horns. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Durability: The LED lamps in this hazardous location stack light consist of 10-watt colored LED lamps, with a lifespan of 50,000+ hours. The lighting components are protected by durable Pyrex globes and polymer globe guards for added durability, offering cool operation and clean, bright output surpassing that of 100-watt incandescent indicator lamps. The LED lamps are colored LEDs instead of colored globes, providing more light output. The housing is constructed of non-metallic polymer, while the horns are made of fiberglass with aluminum mounting bases. Wiring/Mounting: Wiring is fed through a 3/4" conduit access hub. Flying leads are available for connection from the unit to alarm leads and fault leads. The green light is connected (wired) to standard power. When the fault alarm is triggered (see Mode 4 above), the green light will turn off. This is a standard function of the unit. Mounting is provided by a heavy gauge aluminum base with predrilled holes designed to be bolted to walls and flat surfaces for permanent and secure attachment. Operators can tap the C1D1 junction box in order to connect to a power source. Applications: Manufacturing facilities, routing shipping lanes and any hazardous work area where status indicators and audible alarms are necessary.
