Made in Texas The Larson Electronics MGL25-480-6X120.20A-240.2X20A.1X50A-GFIB-100 Temporary Power Distribution System converts 480 VAC electrical current to single phase 120VAC and 240VAC 60hz. This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications, with a fully potted transformer and Nema 3R load center. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance and cleaning in hazardous areas, equipment installations and repairs, and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480v, 60hz which it then steps down to 1ph 120 VAC and 1ph 240 VAC. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120VAC available via six 20amp, 125v, 5-20R duplex receptacles, 240VAC via two 30amp, 250v, L6-30R, and 120/240V via one 50amp, 125/250V, CS6369 twist lock receptacles. All receptacles are protected by GFI breakers. Description: The MGL25-8C-480-120V-GFI portable power distribution substation converts three phase, 480VAC electrical current to single phase 120VAC and 240VAC via a 25KVA transformer (480v to 120/240V, 1ph, 60hz). 100ft of line power cord with a 60 amp, 480v, 3 pole, 4 wire male plug is included to connect the substation to a primary 480v 3PH primary power supply. A 60A fused disconnect, main on/off switch provides primary line protection and supplies primary power to the 25kva transformer. This power distribution system conforms to UL 1640. Secondary current is wired to a 120/240V, 1 phase, 100 amp load center with main breaker for circuit protection. 120/240 line out protection is provided by six 20A, 125 volt, 1 pole GFI breakers, two 30A, 250V, 2 pole GFI breakers, and one 50A, 250V, 2 pole GFI breaker. Connection for 120/240V AC is through receptacles mounted on the side of the substation. Receptacles include 6 - 20amp, 125v, 5-20R waterproof duplex receptacles and 2 - 30amp, 250v, L6-30R receptacles and 1 - 50amp, 125/250v, CS6369 twist-lock receptacle. The load center is mounted within Nema 3R enclosure (optional glass door) for protection against accidental contact, rain, dust, splashing water, and sprayed water. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard steel cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two rubber tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift eye allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150kva and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, hazardous location operations, shows, exhibits, and shipyard operations. These temporary power distribution systems are popularly used for HAZLOC applications where external power sources are often necessary and work well in combination with explosion proof lights and equipment.
