Eaton's HC8 family high current power inductors are designed for higher speed switch mode applications requiring low voltage and high current. Their design utilizes high temperature iron powder alloy material with a non-organic binder to eliminate thermal aging. The HC8 family has an inductance range from 0.175 uH to 47.3 uH, current range from 2.2 A to 76 A and frequency range from 1 kHz to 500 kHz. HC8 power inductors can be used in several applications including multi-phase regulators, Voltage Regulator Modules (VRMs), distributed power systems DC-DC converters, desktop and server VRMs and EVRDs, Point-of-Load (POL) modules, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) DC-DC converters, battery power systems, high current power supplies, data networking and storage systems.
