The Pin, Float by Recmar (PAF15-07090021) is a disconnected pin known as a floating pin. Leaving logic input pins unconnected is not a smart idea. In the case of transistor logic (TTL), an unconnected input function as logic 1 in this example. The disconnected pin in CMOS logic floats between logic states because of its high resistance. Voltages, on the other hand, exist between two points rather than at a single place. Also, one of those points in the case of the floating input is not fixed to a predetermined value. As a result, the voltage is also a mystery. The ultimate consequence, which isn't very helpful, is that the real value is unpredictable. The pin is in the floating position after the pull-up/pull-down sets.
