The Marine O-Ring fits Johnson/Evinrude outboards, OMC Stern drives, Mercury Marine outboards and Mercruiser Stern drives. It is the efficient sealing element between two parts to prevent passing fluids and gasses. It is required for point contact between a seal and surfaces to be sealed, to have a high local load, and the ability to withstand high pressure without increasing the yield strength of the O ring. It is suitable for marine diesel engines and requires a rigid mechanical installation to calculate the mechanical stress on the contact surfaces of an O-ring.
