LED technology, an innovative 21" man-way support bracket, and compact design, makes this lamp an excellent lighting solution for operators working within storage tanks, railcars, and other locations where entry is through a 21" man-hole opening. This Class 1 Division 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2 explosion proof light fixture provides 16,000 lumens of high quality light while drawing only 150 watts. The copper free aluminum alloy body is powder coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. A special heat dissipating design in conjunction with advanced LED technology helps this fixture to achieve an excellent 60,000 hour rated lifespan with 80% lumen retention. This 16 inch diameter LED light is attached to a 21 inch supporting plate which allows the light fixture to hang inside the tank or railcar while the supporting plate rests on the lip of a man-way opening.This mounting system provides an extremely versatile lighting option for those working in confined spaces such as rail cars, storage tanks, ship tanks and the like where entry is through a 21" man-way opening. Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional lighting. The LED lamp produces 16,000 lumens with a color temperature of 6000K and a color rendering index of 70, which produces colors and details much more accurately than high pressure sodium or mercury vapor lamps. The copper free aluminum alloy lamp body is powder coated for added durability and resistance to corrosions. Included with this tank cleaning LED light is 50` of 16/3 SOOW cable terminated in an explosion proof plug. This unit is universal voltage (not multi-tap) and operates on a range from 100-277 volts 50/60 Hz AC without any modifications to the light. This lamp is T5 temperature rated and the LED light head retains 80% of its lumen output after 60,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps. This portable explosion proof light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion.
