The Larson Electronics SMP-RG-2XCP Perko Mount is designed for mounting lights and other compatible equipment on boats/vessels in marine environments. This unique mounting system features red and green running lights that can be seen from far distances. For powering equipment, the device comes with two waterproof cigarette plug sockets under the running lights. Note: Max amperage for any units plugged into the device is a combination of 10 amps. The SMP-RG-2XCP is a perko mount system for marine applications. The device supports bright red and green running lights for notification on boats/vessels. Two waterproof cigarette plug sockets mounted under the running lights are available for powering low voltage equipment. This unit is capable of powering 12V DC equipment at a maximum load of 10 amps. An example of this setup could be 2 amps on one side and 8 amps on the other or one 10-amp unit. The SMP-RG-2XCP is constructed of anodized aluminum and comes with a locking collar for securing different positions on the pole. Our most popular pole lengths are 12" and 24". When in use, roughly 2 1/4" of the pole is going into the recessed socket and the running lights are mounted to a plate, which drops the running lights down past the top of the pole at 1-1/2". As a result, while the total pole length may be 6", the running lights may only be 3-3/4" from the top of the boat deck surface (for example).
