The EPPH-230A-VOIP Explosion Proof VoIP Telephone from Larson Electronics is designed to provide safe, reliable communication for both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas. This Class I, Div 1 and Class II, Div 1 unit is SIP and PoE compatible with four configurable aux inputs and two configurable, voltage-free contact outputs. The device features a sturdy cast aluminum build and a 6` PVC coiled cord. Operators may mount the VoIP telephone on compatible walls or columns.

Phone Features: The EPPH-230A-VOIP is suitable for communication in rugged hazardous locations. This device is PoE compatible for minimal installations in areas with limited space. Operators may configure the phone`s settings using any compatible browser (embedded web pages, no software needed). An IP converter is not needed for operation; connection directly to a SIP-based (RFC3261) VoIP telephone system is available. Real-time alarm reporting is facilitated via email or Syslog. VoIP Telephones are SIP compatible and are suitable for use with Cisco UCM (CallManager) Version 5.0 or newer..

This explosion proof telephone features a simplified, easy to use design. To call out, operators simply lift the handset and dial the desired number with no additional steps or phone training required. The main keypad features 12 buttons (0,1-9,*,#). A receiver volume button is located beneath the handset. When the handset is unhooked, operators press this button to increase the volume in 3-dB increments (maximum 18dB). All keys are oversized to allow gloves-on dialing.

Durability: This unit is designed to provide safe, reliable communication for both indoor and outdoor hazardous areas. Consisting of a sturdy copper free non-sparking cast aluminum body, an impact resistant carbon loaded ABS handset and a durable 6Õ PVC coiled cord, the device is ruggedly constructed for superior performance in extreme, demanding environments.

The NEMA 4X enclosure housing this telephone unit provides protection from the ingress of dust, dirt and fibers as well as resistance against the harmful and corrosive effects of water spray, sleet, snow and rain. This Class I Division 1 Groups B, C & D, Class II Division 1 Groups F & G, and Class III Division 1 telephone provides operators with a safe, secure and dependable communication link.

Mounting: The EPPH-230A-VOIP telephone is designed to be wall or column mounted using the four mounting feet located on the back side of the unit. All mounting bolts are constructed of stainless steel for corrosion and rust resistance.

Power/Wiring: This explosion proof industrial grade telephone may be powered using an external 24-48V DC low voltage power supply. Alternatively, operators may use power-over-ethernet (PoE) operation (802.3af compliant) to power the device without an isolated, external power supply. This cost-effective option relies on a single component for power and voice/data operation. The EPPH-230A-VOIP features a total of two 3/4" NPT hubs for wiring. To ensure safety, any conduit NPT plugs (blanking elements) must be explosion proof with a Type 4X rating.
