Made in the USA The Larson Electronics EPL-50W-230Xx12-50 Hazardous Area Incandescent Work light is approved for Class 1 Division1 Groups C and D, meets federal specification JC-580A, and is idea for commercial and industrial work and inspection activities within hazardous locations requiring explosion proof protection. This 50 watt explosion proof incandescent work light from Larson Electronics meets federal specification JC-580A and comes complete 50 foot of 16/3 SOOW cord and an inline transformer that steps down high voltage 230/240 volts to 12 Volts. This hazardous location hand lamp is designed with an explosion proof slip-ring housing and is Class 1 Division 1 Groups C and D hazardous location environment approved. 40` Container Dark Illuminated by EPL-50W-230Xx12-50 Picture provided so that user may see the beam in action at first 40` from source. This 50 watt fluorescent light is suitable for use in areas where petrochemical vapors and various flammable chemicals are present and projects a strong light beam with good peripheral illumination and a well defined central spot beam. This light is designed to produce a far reaching spot beam which makes it ideal for use in larger hazardous locations where a strong beam is needed to reach hard to access areas for inspections. This handlamp has the transformer mounted inline with the 50 foot of SOOW cord for convenient and simple setup. Transformer & Voltage: This unit is equipped with encapsulated step down transformer that automatically monitor and adjust input current to maintain the correct voltage levels regardless of input levels across a specific range. These explosion proof drop lights can operate on current ranging from 90 to 305V AC or 127 to 431V DC without any modifications necessary as a result. This ability to sense and adjust input current also provides protection against voltage spikes and drops that can occur in electrical systems. Wiring and Plug: This explosion proof drop light is equipped with 50` of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord, and inline step-down transformer, and 5` of SOOW cable that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 6-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 220-240V outlets with ground, NEMA L6-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 240V twist lock outlets, 6-20 straight blade plug, L6-=20 Twist lock, British BS1363 13 amp fused 3-blade plug for United Kingdom outlets, or a two pin 16 amp rated Schuko plug with ground contact and socket for European outlets up to 250V. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps.
