Made in the USA The Larson Electronics portable welder is a fuel type unit with a powerful 3,600 rpm, twin-cylinder four-cycle overhead valve gasoline engine (industrial air-cooled). It can produce 9,500 watts and supports 120/240 VAC at 60 Hz. This machine boasts a robust air-cooling system and a compact frame for seamless transportability. The portable welder offers reliable and safe power for maintenance and repair tasks. This unit may also function as a stand-alone generator for use in remote locations, such as construction sites, mining locations, military bases, emergency camps and areas without adequate access to the grid. Features: This portable welder is powered by a Kohler CH730 gasoline engine. With engine speeds up to 3,600 rpm at 23.5 horsepower, the unit is capable of generating 11 kW during peak usage and 9.5 kW during continuous usage. It can hold up to 12 gallons of fuel with an average runtime of 13 hours (1.5-quart oil capacity). A status panel conveniently located on top of the unit displays servicing information, fuel consumption and oil levels in real-time. For safety during operation, the engine is designed to stop immediately when low oil pressure is detected. The welder, which also functions as a stand-alone generator, is designed to support 120/240 VAC 60Hz. Operators may choose from four stick/TIG and two wire range settings (40–140 A, 60-160 A, 80-225 A and 100-250 A; 17-22 V and 20-28 V) for output control using a circular knob. An amperage/voltage wheel is also available for controlling power while welding. A NEMA 14-50P and (4) GFCI 120 VAC duplex receptacles can be found below the welding control components of the unit. This machine comes with a unique noise-reduction design (engine rotated to the front) that can streamline its application in busy work sites. With a full load, the unit emits 72.5 dbA of sound, which is equivalent to the noise level of a compact hair dryer. For easy transportation, the welder is bolted down on a 4-wheel pull-around cart constructed of heavy duty steel and powder coated for corrosion resistance. Equipped with a 3” Lunette/Pintle hitch and 180-degree pivot system, operators may navigate around obstructions and tight passageways with ease. This portable generator is equipped with four 1000lb retractable outriggers for stability during deployment, and leveling the unit on uneven ground. Applications: This portable welder is suitable for supporting remote maintenance tasks.
