Four 1,000-watt metal halide lights produce a wide spread of intense white light, allowing this unit to effectively cover large work areas with high quality illumination.This chain-driven light tower folds over for easy transportation and is powered by a hydraulic ram at stage 1 of the unit. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* The LM-HA-30-9-5S-FM-4X1000W-MH 4,000-watt telescoping steel light mast with four metal halide light heads from Larson Electronics is designed to quickly and safely deploy intense illumination for maximum area coverage. This light boom can be extended to thirty feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to nine feet for applications where a footprint smaller is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 6.6` in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 6.78` in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 6.93` in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 7.08` in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and top section 7.58` in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 1`+ overlap. The chain-driven mast is extended to its full height using a hydraulic ram at stage 1 of the unit. Uptime deployment takes approximately 60 seconds (from start to stop), while collapse time is 90 seconds. Lights: Included with this light tower are four of our wet area suitable HID-22-SL-REM metal halide fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 440,000 lumens at 4,000 watts. These lamps have 19” reflectors and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is secured into place with a heavy duty gasket and single ring lock. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating approximately 5 acres. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom. The entire lighting assembly is connected to the power source via a 4-switch control box. Each light head is on an individual circuit and can be powered on or off independently of the other light fixtures. The unit is offered in the following voltages: 208V, 220V, 240V 277V or 480V. Each voltage selection comes with a corresponding cord cap: L21-20 (208V), L14-20 (220/240V), L7-20 (277V) or L8-20 (480V). The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 12 feet, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15 inch by 13 inch, 1/4 inch thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 5/8" anchor bolts. A 52" long mounting plate constructed of 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick carbon steel is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the four metal halide fixtures. This light tower weighs approximately 600 lbs, can easily support and lift 150 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5 feet long, 4 feet wide, 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 1200 lbs.
