Made in the USA The Larson Electronics LM-40-4S-4X1000W fold over 4-stage light mast provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy 4000 watts of intense lighting to elevations up to forty feet. The four 1,000 watt metal halide lamps produce a wide spread of intense white light, allowing this unit to effectively cover large work areas with high quality illumination. This light tower folds over for easy transportation, features a rotating boom that allows for 360¡ of rotation, and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. *PLEASE NOTE: ANY FREE SHIPPING OFFERS DO NOT APPLY TO LIGHT MASTS OR LIGHT TOWERS* This telescoping four stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics’ is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 40 feet for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 40 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 13 feet for applications where a smaller footprint is required. The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 11.25` in length and 5" x 5" by 3/16" thick, lower section 11.25` in length and 4" x 4" by 1/8" thick, an upper section 11.25` in length and 3" x 3" by 1/8" thick, and a top section 11.75` in length and 2" x 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has a 15-18" overlap. The mast is elevated using an included 2,500 lbs hand winch with 3/16 inch cable and extended to its full height using a second 2,500 lbs winch. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15" by 13" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 1/2" anchor bolts. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for the four metal halide fixtures. Included with this light tower are four of our wet area suitable HID-22-SL-REM metal halide fixtures producing a combined total of approximately 400,000 lumens at 4,000 watts. These lamps have 19” reflectors and are constructed of aluminum with a clear tempered glass lens which is secured into place with a heavy duty gasket and single ring lock. These floodlights produce a wide flood light pattern capable of illuminating approximately 5 acres. Each floodlight is securely fastened to the light boom and each lamp includes a support bracket to help maintain lamp stability within its housing. The lamps are connected to the power source via a water tight male pin connector that attaches to a receptacle located on the end of the telescoping boom. When lowered to 14 feet, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different directions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. This light tower weighs approximately 600 lbs and can easily support and lift 150 lbs fixtures. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 16.5 feet long, 4 feet wide, 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 850 lbs. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. We also offer a choice of either the manual 2,500 lbs hand winches included standard or optional electric winches. Suggested Applications: Temporary lighting, construction sites, and security camera deployment.
