The Larson Electronics MGL-HD-480V-37.5KVA-120.240V-150A.DS temporary power distribution system converts single-phaseÊ480V AC electrical current into single-phase 120/240V AC. This unit provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power.

Portable Power Distribution Purpose and Use: The MGL-HD-480V-37.5KVA-120.240V-150A.DS portable power distribution system gives operators the ability to power their equipment from a single system. On the primary side, operators connect 480VÊusing a 10` #2 SOOW cord. On the secondary side, operators may access a disconnect with time delay fuses.

Operation: A 10` #2 SOOW cord brings 480V power to the NEMA 3R 100-amp, three-phase 480V primary disconnect, which contains two 100-amp time delay fuses, and passes single-phase 480V power through to the transformer. The NEMA 3R 37.5 KVA transformer converts 480V to single-phase 120/240V 60Hz and passes the current to the secondary side. The secondary side of the transformer is equipped with a NEMA 3R 200-amp, single-phase 120/240V disconnect, which contains three 150-amp time delay fuses.

Protective Construction: The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a standard steel cart style frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two rubber tires and a cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift eye allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks.

This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150KVA and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted.

Grounding: Transformer is grounded to the frame and we provide a grounding lug on the frame for the earth ground.

Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
