Made in the USA The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-2XM24 from Larson Electronics is a Vapor Proof Emergency LED Light Fixture is similar to our popular explosion proof LED fixtures and provides an LED alternative to fluorescent fixtures that provides longer lamp life and higher performance. These two foot LED fixtures produce more output with longer lamp life and are vapor proof and impact / vibration resistant. Please note that this unit is vapor proof and not approved for use in hazardous locations. Two M24 brass cable gland hubs are equipped on this fixture for wiring. The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-2XM24 is equipped with two specially designed LED T8-series bulbs which produce 1,750 lumens each and have a correlated color temperature of 5,600K, 4,500K, or 3,000K. The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-2XM24, two foot long, two lamp LED light fixture is designed for those who wish to replace or upgrade from fluorescent equipped fixtures and offers better light output and longer lamp life with reduced maintenance costs. With no ballast and solid state LED light tubes, this fixture draws less than 0.3 amps while offering durability and versatility that common fluorescent fixtures cannot match. This emergency LED light works and is wired like our GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-2XM24 vapor proof LED light fixtures. The main difference is that we add a battery backup unit that adds emergency light functionality to the fixture. This vapor proof emergency light will run one bulb at the standard UL suggested 90 minutes after power is lost at 1,750 lumens. The light recharges the battery once electrical power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency battery backup that is automatically recharged and kept in a ready state. We have eliminated the ballast normally associated with explosion proof fluorescent fixtures which reduces overall weight and overall complexity of installation. There is no ballast in this unit and the included LEDT8-24-V1 LED lamps have a 50,000+ hour service life, both of which result in extreme efficiency and greatly reduced maintenance costs. These fluorescent LED lamps have internal drivers, eliminating external power components. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. This second generation lamp is offered in 5600K cool white, 4500K natural white, and 3000K warm white. Our standard unit ships with 5600K unless different color temperature is specified. Unlike the glass tube design of traditional fluorescent lamps, these LED T-Style lamps have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation. Instead of using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current applied and emitting light. The LED assembly is mounted to the "tube" constructed from extruded aluminum, with a polycarbonate lens protecting the LEDs. With LED lights, there is no warm up time or cool down time before re-striking and provide instant illumination when powered on, adding to the reliability of LED technology. By nature, LED light sources run significantly cooler than fluorescent lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions. This solid state design of light emitting diodes provides a more reliable, stable, durable, and energy efficient light source over traditional fluorescent lighting. The 14 watt LED lamps produce more illumination than standard fluorescent bulbs, but help this unit draw only 1/3 of the current of comparable fluorescent fixtures. The GVP-EMG-24-2L-LED-SFC-2XM24 is universal voltage and operates on any voltage from 110V to 277V AC 50/60hz. Integral aluminum heat sink tube backings provide cool operation and long LED life, while a simple latching system seals the lens cover to the housing and provides easy access for re-lamping. Flange type aluminum mounts attached at each end of this LED and enables it to be simply secured to any surface. The mounts provide some shock absorbency protection while enabling the user to simply mount the fixture with the through-hole taps that protrude on each side of the fixture.
