The LM-20-6.5-5S-FM-NYC-2XN3B from Larson Electronics is a Fixed Mount 5-Stage Light Mast that provides a safe and effective way for operators to quickly deploy lights, security cameras, and other equipment to elevations up to twenty feet and collapse to six and a half feet when fully collapsed. This crank up light tower features a rotating boom that allows for 360¡ of rotation and a removable mast head for storing mounted equipment when not in use. The system includes a top mounted NEMA 3R rated junction box, a bottom mounted NEMA 3R rated junction box, and 1" coiled Nycoil cable wrapped around the mast for wiring to the junction boxes.

This telescoping five stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20' for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20' for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 6.5' for applications where a footprint smaller is required. This allows operators to collapse the mast and leave it in the upright position during transit if desired depending on equipment mounted to the mast head).

The tower is constructed of square steel tubing with a base section 4.54' in length and 6" by 6" by 3/16" thick, lower section 4.73' in length and 5" by 5" by 3/16" thick, middle section 4.92' in length and 4" by 4" by 1/8" thick, upper section 5.10' in length and 3" by 3" by 1/8" thick, and an top section 5.60' in length and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick. Each section has an overlap of at least 12 inches. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 2,500 lb hand winch with 3/16" galvanized steel cable.

The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistances and aesthetics. These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces via a 15" by 13" by 1/4" thick mounting base-plate which has been drilled to accept six 9/16" anchor bolts. A 44" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/4" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment.

Junction Boxes: The LM-20-6.5-5S-FM-NYC-2XN3B is equipped with a pair of NEMA 3R rate junction boxes; one mounted to the top of the mast and one mounted to the bottom. These junction boxes both measure 12" x 12" x 6" and are connected together via 1" Nycoil cable. The Nycoil cable is wrapped around the mast for cable management and operators can run any cable with a compatible diameter through it.

The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. When lowered to 6.5', the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with easy in either direction. The mast can be positioned in any direction and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand.

This light tower weighs approximately 315 lb, can easily support and lift 150 lb. The entire tower assembly is shipped via common freight carrier and when shipped measures approximately 7 feet long, 4 feet wide, 3 feet tall and weighs approximately 350 lb. Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer's requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates. For example, the LM-30-3S is another model that reaches to a length of 30 feet, with a 14 foot lower section, 12 foot middle section, and a 8 foot upper section and a 4 foot wide upper mounting bracket. We also offer a choice of either the manual 1,000 lb hand winches included standard or optional electric winches.
