This power distribution system provides operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480VAC power from a variety of sources including generators and direct grid power. This portable substation is suitable for outdoor applications with a fully potted transformer and NEMA 3R load center. This power distribution system is configured to transform 480V to 120V. This unit provides an effective power distribution system for operators performing plant turnarounds, maintenance, equipment installations and any activities requiring an alternative to native power sources. This portable transformer is designed to operate with 480V, three phase, 60 Hz which it then steps down to 120V AC 60 Hz. The power distribution system on this portable substation makes 120V AC available via (12) L5-20R 20-amp, 125V twist lock receptacles. Description: The MGL-15KVA-480-120-12X120.20TWL-HIINNS portable power distribution substation converts three phase, 480V AC electrical current to three phase 208Y and 120V AC via a Hammond SG3A0015KB 15KVA transformer (480V to 208Y/120V, 3PH, 60Hz). 20` of 10/4 SOOW line in cable is included to connect the substation to a primary 480V primary power supply. A DH361NRK Cuttler-Hammer 30-amp fused disconnect fused with three Eaton Bussmann FRS-R-25 25-amp time delay fuses provides primary line-in protection and supplies primary power to the 15 KVA transformer. Secondary current is wired to a 208Y/120V, three phase, 80-amp load center with main breaker for circuit protection. 120V line out protection is provided by twelve Eaton QBGFT 20-amp, 125V, single pole breakers. Connection for 120V AC is through receptacles mounted on the side of the load center. Receptacles include twelve Hubbell HBL2310 20-amp, 125V, twist lock receptacles. The 20-amp bolt on circuit breakers are Eaton GFCI protected breakers. The load center is rated NEMA 3R, the transformer is potted and the entire system is built and certified to UL 1640 standards. The transformer and load center/distribution assembly is mounted to a powder coated steel, dolly cart style, frame resulting in an extremely stable, durable, and mobile power distribution platform. Two run-flat rubber tires and a dolly cart style mounting platform provides easier substation mobility, and a center point lift point allows easy lifting with cable or chain hooks. This temporary power distribution solution can be modified to meet the needs of job-site receptacle requirements. Units are available up to 150 KVA and can be equipped with skids or trailer mounted. Applications: This power distribution system is NEMA 3R rated and ideal for indoor/outdoor use and applications including but not limited to; construction sites, plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows, exhibits and shipyard operations.
