This remote operates three quiet fan speeds (high/medium/low) and includes a full-range light dimmer for a customized lighting level when used with dimmable lightbulbs, such as incandescents. With the flick of a switch this remote can also be used to turn on and off non-dimmable lightbulbs used in a ceiling fan. Once you wire the receiver to the fan in the ceiling, the remote control communicates wirelessly with the fan up to a distance of 40-feet.
