This trailer mounted, five-stage light mast with solar generator has a 12" x 12" x 6" junction box mounted at the top for connecting cameras and other devices. This junction box is ideal for mounting security cameras for a 360¡ field of view along with other electrical devices for each operator`s specific needs. The top mounted junction box is mounted to the mast head via a half-moon shaped mounting plate. The entire assembly is mounted onto a 7.5` single axle trailer, allowing operators to transport this portable solar light tower from location to location.

Solar Powered Light Tower: This solar light tower includes one 300-watt solar panel, solar charging system, battery bank and manual crank up mast mounted on trailer with outriggers. This solar generator system replenishes amp hours of usable battery capacity per day, assuming 5.5 hours of peak charging sunlight. This system delivers 12 volts for equipment mounted atop the 20` telescoping light mast. A junction box is mounted at the very top of the mast for equipment setup, connection, and deployment.

Light Mast: This telescoping five stage steel light mast from Larson Electronics is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy lighting, cameras, and other electrical equipment in locations where this equipment must be elevated to heights up to 20` for effective coverage. This light boom can be extended to 20` for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 6.5` for applications where a smaller footprint is required. Constructed of square steel tubing, the mast is elevated by pressing down on the end of the base stage, elevating the mast to the upright position. The mast is extended to its full height using an included 1,000 lbs hand winch with 3/16" galvanized cable.

A 36" wide and 2" by 2" by 1/8" thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast which provides a strong and stable platform for light fixtures and equipment. A half-moon shaped mounting plate on the top of the mast head provides a secure mounting platform for the NEMA 3R 12" x 12" x 6" junction box, where operators can mount cameras, indicator lights, and route electrical cabling. When elevated to its full upright position, the mast can be rotated a full 360¡. By loosening the T-Handle, operators can rotate the mast with ease in either direction. The mast can be positioned in one of four different positions, and locked back in place by re-tightening the T-handle. The mast itself spins freely with easy, and can typically be rotated with a single hand. The LM series of towers are powder coated with glossy blue finish for corrosion resistance and aesthetics.

The LM family of telescoping towers feature a proprietary mast guidance system, which provide increased stability during high winds. Four 1,000 lb hand crank leveling jacks are used for leveling. The jacks can be leveled by hand crank or attachment provided for power drills. These outriggers can be extended 2` out from the side of the trailer for added stability. When lowered to 6.5`, the mast can withstand winds up to 125 mph. When raised to the maximum height, the mast can withstand winds up to 75 mph. Custom builds can be provided for higher wind speed resistance when fully raised.

Solar Panel Assembly: This unit is comprised of one 300-watt solar panel, which offers two days of automation without sun. The panel is mounted to a stationary assembly. This panel is wired to the solar charger control box which manages the charging system. Energy from the panel is stored via four, 40aH LiFePO4 batteries. During use, the system has the following run times: (1) 25-watt device for 24/7, (1) 50-watt device for 12/7, or (1) 90-watt device for 8/7. An included 120V grid tie battery charger allows operators to charge the batteries when sunlight is insufficient.

Wiring/Plug: The battery charger on the unit is equipped with a battery charger cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground or NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Please choose pigtail option below for flying leads with no plug.

Component Control Center: All the electrical components are encapsulated in a NEMA 3R job box that is bolted to the trailer. Since most of these components are not rated for high heat, our component cooling system circulates air within the job box at 1400 CFM when the ambient temperature exceeds 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The job box that contains the component control system includes locks for security purposes.

Trailer Assembly: The entire assembly is mounted to a 7.5` by 7`, single axle trailer via six 1/2" anchor bolts. The two wheel trailer is equipped with 3,500 lb axle and leaf springs with 15" trailer tires. A standard 2" ball coupling, two standard safety chains, and 7-pin flat trailer plug allow for easy hookup and towing. The trailer tongue can be removed for long term deployment. A rugged and waterproof job box is included, safely secured to the trailer. Four outriggers mounted to the corners of the trailer allow operators to level the trailer, and provide stabilization during deployment. All trailer lighting complies with DOT/FMVSS regulations.
