C1D2 Hazardous Location UVC Fluorescent Fixture - 316 SS - (2) 4' UV T8 Lamps - Flange Mount - UVC The Larson Electronics HAL-48-2L-BMSW-SS-FLGM-BL-UVC Hazardous Location UV Fluorescent Fixture provides UVC illumination in Class I, Division 2 rated locations. This 150-watt unit features two, 4-foot T8 UV fluorescent lamps, housed in a copper-free aluminum housing and protected by a glass lens. The hazardous location luminary caters to flange mounting and operates on 120-277V AC, 50/60 Hz. *Please note: This product produces UV light. UVC light in the proper setting kills up to 99.9% of viruses, mold, spores and bacteria.ÊClick here to learn more about UVC and the corona virus* The HAL-48-2L-BMSW-SS-FLGM-BL-UVC is a fluorescent-based UV lighting system for Class I, Division 2 facilities requiring effective sanitation or disinfection. Consisting of two, 4-foot T8 fluorescent UV lamps, the 150-watt unit offers UVC output with a wavelength range of 100nm to 280nm (peak wavelength of 280 nm). Total radiant intensity is 25w/cm2 per lamp, with 48w/cm2 effective radiant intensity. This hazardous location lamp operates on 120-277V AC, 50/60 Hz (ballast voltage) and features a G13 medium bi-pin cap base. Equipped with a 9,000-hour useful lifespan, the UV lamps contain 2mgs of mercury. The UV light`s housing is constructed of 316 stainless steel, with stainless steel hardware. The lamp reflector is corrosion resistant heavy gauge aluminum and coated with a high gloss reflective finish. A glass lens protects the unit and provides robust transmission of UV light during operation, at a rate of 96%. This hazardous location UV fixture is a Risk Group 3 UV product. UV radiation from the unit can damage the skin and eyes without proper protection. Operators should avoid exposure to the eyes and skin when the unit is unshielded (for use in enclosed environments only). In the event of lamp breakage, it is recommended to ventilate the room for 30 minutes and clean the area with gloves (not a vacuum cleaner). Contents should be stored in a sealed plastic bag and brought to a waste/recycling facility. Mounting/Wiring: The HAL-48-2L-BMSW-SS-FLGM-BL-UVC features a flange mounting system. Flange brackets on the housing facilitate seamless drop-in mounting for operators, making it suitable for installations in tight spaces. Power connections to the hazardous location UV unit can be completed via an accessible, threaded wiring hub (1/2" or 3/4"). Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
