Made in the USA The EPLX-QP-80W-1XRD2-TRC-100 Explosion Proof Quadpod LED Light Tower from Larson Electronics is an ATEX-rated, portable lighting solution for hazardous locations and industrial work sites. This 80-watt unit is capable of delivering wide area illumination with superior lumen output. The quadpod tower is extendable at heights between 7` and 12`. A 110¡ wide flood beam provides crisp, bright light with broad coverage. This 80-watt unit utilizes compact LEDs paired with a heavy-duty housing and an advanced heat sink that offers improved efficiency and thermal performance. The ATEX-rated LED light tower is equipped with four legs and two wheels for seamless transportation. During deployment, the tower may be extended between 7` and 12`. The hazardous location LED light tower is equipped with 10` of SOOW cord and flying leads for completing connections to a power source. LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life. LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps. Mounting: This portable LED light is comprised of an LED light head mounted atop a four-leg quadpod fabricated from non-sparking powder coated aluminum. This adjustable and collapsible quadpod can be extended to twelve feet, collapsed to seven feet and includes solid wheels, allowing operators to tilt the unit back and simply roll the entire assembly to a new location when fully deployed. Applications: Oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, manufacturing facilities, hazardous locations, agricultural sites, paint spray booths and other hazardous locations that meet the classifications of this unit. Because this fixture is created for maximum thermal efficiency, it is ideal for applications in environments wherein the ambient operating temperature reaches extreme ranges (high heat applications).
